Microsoft Copilot
Also called: Copilot, Bing Copilot, Bing Chat
Definition
Microsoft Copilot, formerly Bing Chat, is Microsoft's AI assistant. You find it in the Bing search engine, the Edge browser, Windows and the Microsoft 365 tools. It uses models from OpenAI and Microsoft, and looks up its information in Bing's index.
To be visible in Copilot, the starting point is being well indexed by Bing, a search engine that many brands in France overlook. Bing Webmaster Tools lets you check that your pages are indexed and submit your sitemap.
Example
An employee who asks Copilot, from their office tools, “which provider for our payroll?” gets an answer built from the pages Bing has indexed.
What it means for your AI visibility
Copilot reaches a very professional audience, where buying decisions get made. And it depends on an index, Bing, that you can act on.
