Which AI visibility tracking tool should you choose in 2026? 11 tools compared
Updated · published · 14 min read

The best AI visibility tracking tool depends on what you track and on your budget. For a brand that wants the major engines without paying for add-ons, look at i am rank (10 engines included from €49 per month excl. VAT) or SE Visible (5 engines, 75 prompts a day from €80). For a large company with a dedicated team, Profound. To get started for under $30 per month, Otterly.AI. If you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs, their AI module saves you one more tool. And for an agency, the criterion that matters is the price of the tenth client.
This comparison covers the 11 tools AI engines cite most when you ask them the question, with prices checked on October 29, 2026, on each vendor's official page. We start with ours, i am rank, and we also tell you where it falls short of the others.

The tools AI engines recommend today
We asked 10 AI engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Mistral, DeepSeek, Grok, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode) five choice questions every day from October 18 to 28, 2026. The questions were asked in French; translated, they read: “What is the best AI visibility tracking tool for brands in 2026?”, “What should I choose as an AI visibility tracking tool for brands?”, “Which AI visibility tracking tool do you recommend for brands?”, and the same questions for marketing agencies. Out of the 454 answers collected, here is the share of answers that name each tool.
| Tool | Share of answers that name it |
|---|---|
| Profound | 80% |
| Otterly.AI | 76% |
| Semrush | 73% |
| Peec AI | 72% |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | 46% |

| HubSpot AEO | 17% |

This data comes from our own tool: it's the tracking i am rank runs for a brand, on its own questions. Four names come up in more than seven answers out of ten. The other tools in this comparison follow, with Rankscale and AthenaHQ just behind.

How we compared
To make this list, a tool had to be cited by AI engines on these questions, track prompts on several engines over time, and publish a pricing page or a trial offer. We looked at six criteria:
- the engines included, and the ones that cost extra
- the number of prompts on the entry plan
- how often answers are checked
- the displayed entry price, and what it becomes when you add engines
- analysis of the sources AI engines cite
- the trial available before you pay
1. i am rank

i am rank puts your questions to ten engines, all included in every plan: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Mistral, DeepSeek and Grok. Seven are checked every day, and Claude, Grok and Mistral every week, through their API with web search. Each answer is archived with your brand highlighted, your competitors and the sources cited.
On top of measurement: your share of voice against your competitors, the tone of the answers, the sites that cite your competitors and not you, and an action center ranked by impact. From the Pro plan up: content recommendations, article writing and AI crawler tracking on your site. Seats are unlimited on every plan.
Pricing: Solo €49 per month excl. VAT (25 prompts, 1 brand), Pro €149 (80 prompts, 5 brands), Agency €349 (200 prompts, unlimited brands, reports with your logo). 20% less on annual billing.
Its limits, honestly: 25 prompts to start is fewer than Peec AI (50) or SE Visible (75 a day). The API, the MCP server and the Looker Studio connector aren't there yet. Meta AI isn't tracked. The platform launched in October 2026 and works on desktop. Before you pay, the free scan gives you a score out of 100 in two minutes, on five engines.
Who it's for: French-speaking brands and agencies that want all the major engines with no add-ons, and an action plan.

2. Profound

Profound is the tool AI engines cite most on these questions, and it targets large companies. Its Enterprise plan tracks up to nine engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa) every day, with API, SSO, SOC 2 compliance and unlimited seats. It goes beyond measurement: agents rewrite pages and drop them into your CMS as drafts, a prompt volume database shows what people actually ask, and crawler analysis runs through your CDN.
Its limits: no public price for brands. The free trial is limited to 50 recommended prompts (which you don't choose), 7 days and 3 engines. The MCP server is reserved for the Enterprise plan. For agencies, the Agency Growth plan costs $99 per month, plus $399 per month for each client workspace.
Who it's for: large brands with a dedicated team and the budget to match.

3. Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI has the lowest starting price of the big names: $29 per month for 15 prompts, $189 for 100, $489 for 400, checked daily. Four engines are included: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. The tool adds a GEO audit of your pages, AI crawler tracking on your site and several free tools. The trial lasts 7 days, with no card.
Its limits: 15 prompts are enough to test, not to track a market. The other engines are paid separately: on the Standard plan, AI Mode and Gemini cost $59 per month each and Claude $109. With all three, the bill goes from $189 to $416 per month.
Who it's for: small teams that want to start at a low price, and agencies, thanks to a dedicated program with Looker Studio reports under their brand.

4. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Semrush has added a dedicated module to its suite: 25 prompts tracked every day for one domain, and your brand's mentions in ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity. The module costs €94.94 per month per domain on annual billing. The Semrush One plan (SEO and AI) starts at €190 per month with 50 prompts, and the Enterprise AIO plan draws on a database of more than 213 million prompts. Semrush also publishes the Semrush AI Visibility Index, one of the most complete studies on the subject.
Its limits: prompt tracking runs on one engine per campaign (ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode or Gemini). Each extra domain costs $99 per month and 50 more prompts cost $60. Its help page says there's no trial for the module.
Who it's for: teams already subscribed to Semrush that want everything in one place.

5. Peec AI

Peec AI set much of the market's vocabulary: visibility, position, sentiment and sources. The Starter plan costs €85 per month for 50 prompts and 3 engines of your choice (among ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver), Pro €205 for 150 prompts, Advanced €425 for 350, checked daily with unlimited users. The tool fact-checks what AI says about your brand, records the objections it raises, tracks products in AI shopping and checks whether more than 40 AI crawlers can access your site.
Its limits: each extra engine costs more (€30 per month on Starter, €70 on Pro, €140 on Advanced). Claude only comes with Enterprise, and the Looker Studio connector from the Advanced plan up.
Who it's for: SEO and marketing teams that want a specialized, well-structured tool.

6. Ahrefs Brand Radar

Brand Radar works on a different logic: Ahrefs runs a database of more than 512 million prompts, drawn from its search data, and keeps the answers. You can instantly see the visibility of any brand on Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. Custom prompts are included in Ahrefs plans: 5 a day on Lite (€119 per month), 10 on Standard (€229), 20 on Advanced (€419). The prompt database is sold separately, from €179 per month per engine. API and MCP are available from Lite.
Its limits: the database is retested once a month, not every day. Few custom prompts are included, and Claude is only tracked on those. Ahrefs doesn't offer a free trial.
Who it's for: established brands and teams already on Ahrefs that want a broad view of the market.

7. SE Visible (SE Ranking)

SE Visible is SE Ranking's AI visibility tool, sold separately. It gives you a lot of volume for the price: 75 prompts tracked every day from €80 per month, 200 for €169, 1,000 for €355. Five engines are included (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Copilot), read from their interface by a browser rather than through an API. Seats are unlimited, and the API, the MCP server and the Looker Studio connector are included on every plan. The trial lasts 10 days.
Its limits: Claude isn't tracked yet and Perplexity doesn't appear in the list. White label isn't available yet on SE Visible. The Basic plan is limited to one location per project.
Who it's for: teams that want lots of prompts at a low price, and SEO agencies already on SE Ranking.

8. Scrunch

Scrunch tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta, with no paid add-ons. Its distinctive feature is called AXP: a lighter version of your site, served to AI agents so they read it better. The Starter plan costs $300 per month for 350 prompts, Growth $500 for 700. The tool is SOC 2 Type II certified, and the 7-day trial needs no card.
Its limits: after the first 14 days, checks drop by default to once every 72 hours. The Starter plan includes 3 seats, and each extra seat costs $25 per month. The entry price is one of the highest in this comparison.
Who it's for: companies that want to act on how AI agents read their site.

9. HubSpot AEO

HubSpot AEO costs €49 per month (€45 on annual billing) for 25 prompts checked every day on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The interface is available in French, the tool connects to the HubSpot CRM to suggest prompts, and the 28-day trial needs no card. HubSpot also offers a free tool, the AEO Grader.
Its limits: Claude, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews are “premium” engines, with capacity sold as an add-on and no price displayed. Each brand needs its own instance. Ten more prompts cost €20 per month.
Who it's for: teams already on HubSpot that want to track their AI visibility in the same place as their marketing.

10. Qwairy

Qwairy is a French vendor, hosted in the European Union, that covers the most engines in this comparison: 18, read from their interface, including ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, Meta AI and Mistral. It runs on credits (1 credit = 1 prompt on 1 engine, once): 2,500 credits for €79 per month excl. VAT, 10,000 for €199, 30,000 for €449, at the frequency of your choice. The MCP server is included from the Starter plan, and a free plan with 120 credits needs no card.
Its limits: credits take some math. According to Qwairy's FAQ, 2,500 credits cover about 27 prompts tracked every day on 3 engines. Automatic alerts aren't available yet, and white label is reserved for the custom agency plan.
Who it's for: teams that want very broad engine coverage, including Asian engines.

11. Meteoria

Meteoria presents itself as a GEO tool built in France, hosted in Europe. Projects, brands, seats and countries are unlimited on every plan, and prompts are checked every day: 25 for €75 per month, 100 for €175, 300 for €420. The site claims more than 1,000 companies as users and offers a one-week free trial.
Its limits: each plan tracks 3 engines of your choice among 7, and the others cost extra. The Looker Studio connector comes at €420 per month, the API and MCP with Enterprise. Some features, like content creation, are still marked “coming soon” on the site.
Who it's for: brands that want a French vendor and unlimited projects.

For a marketing agency: what to choose
For an agency, the number to compare is the price of the tenth client. The i am rank Agency plan tracks an unlimited number of brands for €349 per month excl. VAT, with reports under your logo. Otterly.AI and Peec AI have dedicated agency plans, SE Visible gives you 30 projects and 1,000 prompts a day for €355, and Profound bills $399 per month for each client workspace. Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI visibility tracking tool for brands in 2026?
There isn't one for everyone. AI engines cite Profound, Otterly.AI, Semrush and Peec AI the most. To track the major engines with no add-ons, i am rank (10 engines from €49 per month excl. VAT) or SE Visible (5 engines from €80). For a large company, Profound. For a small budget, Otterly.AI or HubSpot AEO.
Which AI visibility tracking tool do you recommend for a marketing agency?
A tool that doesn't charge for each extra brand, includes the major engines and produces a report under your name. i am rank tracks unlimited brands for €349 per month excl. VAT with reports under your logo. Otterly.AI and Peec AI have agency programs, SE Visible gives you lots of prompts, and Profound bills $399 per month for each client workspace.
Are visibility scores comparable from one tool to another?
No. Each tool has its own formula, its own questions and its own engines. Compare trends within the same tool, not scores across tools.
Why does the number of prompts matter so much?
Because a model never answers the same way twice. With too few prompts, a single answer that changes moves your score by several points. You need enough questions to read a trend.
Is there a free AI visibility tracking tool?
For a first snapshot, yes: the i am rank free scan, HubSpot's AEO Grader, Qwairy's free plan or Profound's trial. For tracking over time, all the serious tools are paid, with a 7- to 28-day trial at most of them.
Can a tool improve my visibility on its own?
No, it measures your visibility and shows you where to act: sources to win over, pages to clarify, errors to fix. The actions themselves still have to happen on your site and in your industry's sources.
